The platform

What is Laserfiche?

Laserfiche is an enterprise content management (ECM) platform. It combines document and records management with digital forms, workflow automation and AI tools, so information can support the work around it.

  • Document management

Bring files into a searchable repository, with metadata, version history and access controls that help teams find the right information.

  • Records & governance

Manage records through their lifecycle, with retention, audit and disposition capabilities selected for your requirements.

  • Digital forms & workflows

Collect information, route approvals and handle exceptions. Keep the request, supporting documents and next action connected.

  • Intelligent capture & AI

Extract information, classify content and make records easier to use. Build in checks and human review where decisions need oversight.

  • Process visibility

See where work is waiting and who needs to act. Use reporting to understand progress and identify bottlenecks.

  • Connected business systems

Link documents and processes with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and other applications through suitable connectors, APIs or custom integration.

Capabilities vary by release, deployment and subscription. Picadi matches the platform to your processes, permissions and governance requirements.

A process in practice

From contract to controlled record.

Capture a contract, extract its details, route an approval and keep the signed record. Reminders, renewal and retention rules help the process continue after signature.

Laserfiche contract process: submit, add metadata, approve or reject, notify the requester, check for signature, send reminders, file the record and apply retention and renewal rules.

Two deployment routes

Cloud or on-premises.
Chosen for your organisation.

The right choice depends on more than where documents are stored. Consider your infrastructure, integrations, data requirements and who will operate the environment.

Laserfiche Cloud

A vendor-hosted service for organisations that want to use Laserfiche without running its core servers.

Platform operations
Laserfiche operates the hosted platform and service updates. Your organisation still manages users, access and business configuration.
Plan around
Subscription capabilities, data-region requirements, connectivity and the systems you need to integrate.
Explore Cloud subscriptions

Laserfiche self-hosted / on-premises

A deployment on infrastructure managed by your organisation or an agreed hosting provider.

Platform operations
Infrastructure, backups, security, availability and upgrades need an agreed owner. Picadi’s responsibilities are defined within the project and support scope.
Plan around
Server and database requirements, compatibility, access, upgrade planning and any connected cloud services.
Explore self-hosted licensing

The two deployments do not have identical feature sets. Self-hosted does not automatically mean every AI or integration service runs entirely on-premises.

Licensing through Picadi

The right subscription.
A clear proposal.

Picadi can supply licences for new environments and help review existing licensing. We start with the people, processes and capabilities you need—not a price list.

Laserfiche Cloud subscriptions

Starter
Document storage and organisation for smaller teams.
Professional
Forms, automation and integration for connected business processes.
Business
Broader records governance and administration across departments.
Business+
Enterprise-scale requirements with expanded security and resilience.

These are starting points for a conversation, not a complete entitlement list. Current packaging, minimum users and applicable options are confirmed in your proposal.

A separate licensing decision

Self-hosted subscriptions

For a new self-hosted environment, Picadi confirms the applicable subscription, users and components against your requirements.

For an existing installation, we first review the version, licence agreement and renewal or upgrade position. Cloud tiers are not a like-for-like self-hosted licence matrix.

What shapes your proposal?

Deployment · User numbers and roles · Required capabilities · Storage and usage · Optional additions

Software subscriptions are scoped separately from implementation, migration, integrations, training and ongoing support, so you can see what each part covers.

Software and specialist delivery

Laserfiche provides the platform.
Picadi makes it work for you.

A licence is the starting point. The value comes from the way your documents, people and processes work together.

Picadi can scope the repository structure, migration, forms, workflows and integrations, then help your team adopt and improve the solution. We can also review an environment you already use.

Common questions

Before you choose.

A few practical answers about buying and working with Laserfiche.

Can Picadi supply a new Laserfiche environment?

Yes. Picadi can help you select and license a new Cloud or self-hosted environment, then scope the configuration, migration, integrations and training needed to put it to work.

Should we choose Cloud or on-premises?

Start with your infrastructure, data requirements, integrations and operational responsibilities. Cloud removes the need to run the core platform infrastructure yourself; self-hosted deployments give you responsibility for the environment. Picadi can help compare the practical implications.

How is a licence proposal put together?

We review deployment, user numbers and roles, required capabilities, storage, usage allowances and any additions. Your proposal separates software subscriptions from implementation, migration, integration and ongoing support.

Can you migrate our existing documents?

Picadi can assess the source systems, metadata, permissions and retention requirements, then plan a tested migration. The approach depends on export access, data quality, volume and any processes that must keep running.

Does every subscription include the same AI features?

No. AI capabilities and allowances depend on deployment, release and subscription. Some integrations also use separately licensed services. We confirm the applicable features, data handling and human-review requirements before implementation.

We already use Laserfiche. Can you review our licences or support?

Yes. Picadi can review your environment, upcoming renewal and planned changes. Existing contract terms and support responsibilities are checked first; a new licence or support arrangement is agreed explicitly.
